You can upload individual files as large as 100 megabytes to Blackboard. If your file won't upload there are 3 work-around options.
Option 1. Zip your file and attach the zipped file to your assignment in Blackboard. The instructor will then need to un-zip the file to view it. How to:
Windows - Zip and unzip files https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14200/windows-compress-uncompress-zip-files
Mac - How to Compress (Zip) Files and Folders http://www.macinstruct.com/node/159
Option 2. Save your assignment in OneDrive which is part of your student email account. You can also Store the file in an online storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Box if you have access to one of these and it allows larger files.
When submitting your assignment, you can then link to the file in your storage area by selecting 'Browse Cloud Service' instead of 'Browse Local File'.
Option 3. Try using one of the online file compression tools. Most have a free limited version available. The one we recommend is Handbrake.
