Our AI Guide covers all you need to know about using AI in your assessments. This FAQ will cover some common questions.

How do I acknowledge the use of AI in my assessment?

Whenever you use AI tools to help with brainstorming, summarising, outlining, paraphrasing, feedback, content generation, tutoring, or practising as part of your assessment preparation, you need to acknowledge this use.

Do I need to include the full prompts when referencing the use of AI in my assessment?

You do not need to include your prompts or the AI tool's responses unless your learning facilitator or assessment brief asks you to. If you are asked to include your prompts/responses, you can find referencing guidance in our Referencing Tool.

It's important to keep a clear record of how you have used AI. This protects your academic honesty and helps you explain your process if asked. Refer to Documenting AI for more information.
