Online books can have a restricted number of users that can read the book at the same time. When your class is reading from the same book at the same time, only the first students to open the book will get access and the others will be asked to try again later.

Note: A copy is in use when someone has the book open on their screen - always shut the window that you were using to read the book after you have finished with it to ensure others can access the title.

The reading:

Gibson, A. (2023). Business law (12th ed.). Pearson Education Australia. https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/lib/think/detail.action?docID=30750451

Below are some methods you can use in case you are unable to access the reading Business Law in your BUS203BM class.

Method 1: Download the chapter before class

Before your class, download the reading that will be discussed and take it with you to class as a PDF.

Method 2: Classmate's copy

If your classmate is able to access the eBook in class, share screens with them.

Method 3: Access an older edition as a substitute

  1. Search the library catalogue for Author: Gibson and Keyword: Business law (or use this link https://lesa.on.worldcat.org/oclc/1399170561)
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tick Torrens University Library

These older editions contain very similar material. Scroll through these editions select one to access for your class.

Below are a couple of older editions that you can access directly:

Gibson, A., & Osborne, S. (2019). Business law (11th ed.). Pearson Education Australia. https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/lib/think/detail.action?docID=5849944

Gibson, A. (2017). Business law (10th ed.). Pearson Education Australia. https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/lib/think/detail.action?docID=5220611
