ClinicalKey eBooks are only viewable through the ClinicalKey platform with no option to download a PDF version of the book. This FAQ outlines how to find the page numbers for these books.

First, you will need to add the book to your Bookshelf (also called your Library). There are two different ways to do this, depending on which book you are viewing.

Adding the book to your Bookshelf (Method 1)

  1. Click the Add to Bookshelf button, found under the copyright information on the title page (or at the top right of the page when viewing a chapter)

  2. Click the View in Bookshelf button to go straight to the book, or click the Launch Bookshelf icon  on the top right of the page then select the book from My Library, which will open the book in an eBook reader

Adding the book to your Bookshelf (Method 2)

If you do not see the Add to Bookshelf option as outlined above, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to any chapter in the book

  2. Click the Access EPUB icon next to the chapter title

  3. You will see a message saying that your book is being added, followed by a confirmation that the book has been added (this may take some time, you may need to check back later)

Message box saying: This book is being added to your epub reader experience

Message box saying: This book has been added to your epub reader experience. View this book here.

  4. Click the link from the confirmation message OR (if you have already closed the message) click the Access EPUB icon again, which will take you to the eBook reader

Finding page numbers in the eBook reader

While viewing the book through the eBook reader, you can find the page number in the bottom right of the screen

What do I do when a book has no page numbers?

When citing from an eBook without any page numbers, give information about the chapter title, heading or section in the in-text citation to help the reader find the information. Also include the paragraph number. More information.
